MAJANO: 30° ANNIVERSARY OF THE FRIULI'S EARTHQUAKE

Are just past 30 years from that 6th of may 1976 terrible evening, when friuli was destroyed completely from an earthquake. With the Lecco's Alpine department based in Majano more choristers don't hesitate to go to help that peole renouncing to the holliday to help to reconstruct during the day, and recreate, with concerts, during the night. Arrived in the morning with the bus at Majano the chorus attend to the inauguration of the philatelic exposition Spazio d'arte "Ciro di Pers", just after in the cemetery of MAjano participate at the cerimony of deposition of a crown flowers to remember the victims of the earthquake. near the 18hour we gone to the old anziane center of Majano for a glass of wine with guests singing with them some songs. At the 20.30 in the parochial Church of Majano was celebrated a S. MAss to remember the 131 victims accompained from the local chorals, followed by a Grigna Chorus concert, that for the occasion present for the first time a new song writen from the local poet Gianni Cappelletti and musicated from the our director Giuseppe Scaioli. The nigth was concluded dinning and sleeping guest of the Majano's citizen in their home. Sunday morning all meet in Italie square to form a parade to the Parochial Church where the parrish celebrate the S. MAss accompained from the Grigna Chorus, follows the inauguration of a new Traversetolo blu cross ambulance in memory of Armando Prada, the official commemoration and certificate assignment to remember the day. After a rich lunch at the snaidero's catering and first to return home we affectuosly goodbye to our host promising to retur soon as possible saying them Mandi Fradis.
